Katog Mardo Tashi Choling Monastery in Eastern Tibet
  • Monastics at Katog Mardo Tashi Choling are supported through general donations, and through pujas (ceremonies), which they are sponsored to practice.
  • Retreatants work for the benefit of others by remaining in strict solitude and meditating on the Dharma.
  • Shedra Students engage diligently in study, contemplation, and meditation on the texts of the Buddha, for the purpose of bringing about vast benefit for others.
  • Children residing at Katog Mardo Tashi Choling are often orphans, or come from very poor families. A school has been started with the purpose of educating local children.
  • Temple reconstruction is critical because many buildings were either destroyed or are in need of major repair.
Katog Choling in the United States
  • Katog Rit’hrod (Mountain Retreat Center) located in Arkansas is the home of a new practice center supporting activities throughout the United States, including:  Katog Rit’hrod Drubdra (three year retreat), Katog Rit’hrod Gomtra (meditation and short retreat), Katog Rit’hrod Healing Center, and Katog Maghada Publishing (translation, publishing, and dissemination of texts).

Katog Jana Ling in Utah
  • Dharma Teachings are scheduled bi-annually in Salt Lake City and are supported by donations and attendance fees.
  • Shrine Room Maintenance & Practice Items represent a small cost but are an on going need.
